This stunning, well-respected and much sought after 1972 Norton 750 Commando has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours.
As you can see this bike has a few parts missing – RH mirror and indicators being the most obvious. There are a few bits non-standard; fibre glass tank, paintwork and carburettor however this only adds to this magnificent machine!
There are a few stains on the silencers and a bit of chrome taken off the back wheel rim but otherwise this bike is stunning !
This is the actual bike for sale – Not library pictures from 52 years ago & it is every bit as nice as it looks here.....A true time warp machine!
The wheels are straight with nice clean chrome rims and working brakes.
The forks and yokes look straight with good chrome.
Instruments look ok and switches move freely.
The carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip.
The paintwork is non-standard but bright and solid.
The fuel tank is clean inside.
The seat base is in good condition throughout.
Both mud guards are solid and bright.
The standard exhaust is solid.
The engine is cosmetically clean. BUT BEST OF ALL it fires, starts, runs and revs on fresh fuel and sounds fantastic!
